Florida, this one's for you

You live in Florida. Did you know the No. 3 beach in America is in your backyard?

U.S. News & World Report ranked Anna Maria Island the No. 3 beach in the U.S. for 2026. Siesta Key, just down the coast, took No. 1, so two of the top three beaches in the country are right here on Florida's Gulf Coast.

No plane ticket, no passport. Pack the car, park it for the weekend, and let the free island trolley do the driving. And if you're coming from farther away, now you know exactly where to land.

Our story

One visit was all it took

AmIsland Properties is family owned, and our story is a simple one. We visited Anna Maria Island once, and we fell in love with it.

The white sand, the turquoise water, the easy pace of a place where the buildings stay low and a free trolley carries you from one end to the other. We wanted a way to keep coming back, and a way to share it.

Island Breeze and SeaCrest are that way. Island Breeze sits in Bradenton Beach, near the shops and pier of historic Bridge Street. SeaCrest is on a quiet Holmes Beach street, about 200 steps from the sand. Both have a private pool, both sleep six, and both are cared for by a local management team that handles every booking.

Our hope is simple: that you catch the island bug too, and that we see you again next season.

Our can't-miss restaurant

The Porch

Our family's favorite · Anna Maria

Ask us for one place you have to eat on the island and we'll send you here. The Porch is our must-go, can't-miss restaurant.

It lives in one of the first homes built in Anna Maria.1 Owners Brianna and Joshua Foster restored the century-old house down to its original windows and hardwood floors, and kept the kitchen small rather than change the building. There isn't even room for a freezer, so, as Brianna told SRQ Magazine, the food is "made fresh and never frozen."2

Lunch is casual and dinner is a little more upscale, from a scratch kitchen known for steak, fresh fish and seasonal dishes.1

On the dinner menu
  • Steak Oscar. Filet mignon with crab, shrimp, asparagus and béarnaise.
  • Shrimp 'n Grits. Blackened Gulf shrimp over three-cheese grits.
  • Burnt Basque cheesecake. Their most popular dessert, or go classic with key lime pie.

Good to know: seating is mostly first come, first served, with a limited number of reservations on their website.1

Why Anna Maria Island

The island that slows you down

Some beaches are built to keep you busy. Anna Maria Island was built to let you breathe.

Seven miles of white sand, low-rise cottages instead of high-rise towers5, and a free island trolley that runs from Coquina Beach to the Anna Maria City Pier while the car stays parked6. Every summer, sea turtles still dig hundreds of nests on its beaches3. People have been calling it Old Florida for years4, and they mean it as the highest compliment: a slower, friendlier island where the best plan for the day is a beach chair, a good lunch and the sun going down over the Gulf.

That's why Anna Maria belongs on everyone's list. You come for the beach and leave a little more rested than you've been in years. Come once, and you'll understand why so many of us keep coming back.

“Laid-back and natural, Anna Maria Island awaits.”
